Haven on the Farm October Wedding

Claire & Sam chose this charming wedding venue situated on a historical 10 acre farm, located in Peoria Il. They said their I DOS on the tree lined lane, surrounded by black fenced pastures, complete with horses, then danced the night away with their families and friends in the gorgeous Barn!

Haven on the Farm is an all inclusive venue, with a beautiful 2 story home on the property, dedicated to morning of prep. Claire & her girls started with hair & makeup on the upper level. We then had a bridal reveal with the bridal party on the main level.

first look

Autumn color was the reason for their mid October wedding. Though not every tree had turned by this point, we were so lucky to have this perfect vibrant backdrop for their private reveal.

Mr + MRS

Claire & Sam knew they wanted to do most photos before the ceremony so they could spend time with family & friends during their cocktail hour. We strolled the fence lined pastures, took photos near the house and in front of the gorgeous Barn doors. The venue is known for its beautiful tree lined lane but it was incredibly windy on their day. We decided to wait & try after the ceremony and just like that, the winds calmed and we got our photos.

One note... our handsome Groom didn't want to spend a ton of time standing around for photos. Though he wanted his beautiful Bride happy! lol! We ALWAYS accommodate our couples wishes (as long as it isnt something weird lol!) I found a good balance, by working very quickly and kept them moving around the property. This helped me to gather a variety of images without it being torture for our Groom. He was a happy camper and that was the goal!

Continuing with the all inclusive theme, Claire & Sam chose to have their ceremony under the trees on the lane. One unique difference with their procession was that all the groomsmen walked the aisle in a line at the same time, same with the bridesmaids! It was a refreshing change. Enough words...
